Nasty hate dirt comes from all sides. Neither has an exclusive although it seems to me like most of it comes from the far right. What we really need, is reconciliation. We are all Americans and this ever widening great divide will destroy us as a democratic republic. We need to stop demonizing each other. While I may disagree with some of their viewpoints, the two Republicans I have the most respect for are Liz Cheney, and Mike Pence. I appreciate Mike Pence’s honesty, courage, and faith. I respect Liz Cheney’s courage, honesty, and leadership ability. If either of those 2 Republicans were to become President, I think we could begin to heal as a nation. Trump has proved over and over again that he has neither the temperament, nor the ability to successfully lead. His presidency was nothing short of chaotic and dysfunctional. I’m not saying it to be nasty or hateful, I’m simply stating a fact.

Yes, CNN wanted to communicate its 'new' news positioning - covering both sides of any issue rather than pandering to the left wing. To me, they accomplished that goal.

Trump, in my mind, is a has been. The 'polls' that are repeatedly covered by 'newspeople' are not worth the time spent reading their results. Few, if any, centrist or right leaning people I know will consider voting for Trump. To me, the purpose of the polls is to make sure that Democrats are frightened by the resurgence of Trump and will vote. Trump will lose in 2024 - if nominated by the GOP. I hope he is not!

I think instead of Trumpsters in the audience, they should have invited Independents who would have been more representative of the voters. They are the people Trump needs to convince to vote for him. He was “preaching to the choir” and valid questions were not raised. Of course, we all know that Trump doesn’t work like that. He needs his fan club to bow down and worship so he can bask in their adoration.
