It wasn't quite Neville Chamberlain's "peace in our time." Still, Kevin McCarthy's untimely and unseemly "additional aid for Ukraine would be difficult" wasn't exactly signaling America's resolve to stand by a determined but beleaguered Ukraine. Nor was the Democrat's Progressive Caucus's "…we also believe it is in the interests of Ukraine, the United States, and the world to avoid a prolonged conflict…"
I believe that Putin is looking for a way to save face in the Ukraine. He has badly miscalculated the resolve of an independent country. The help that the west has given them has been key to allowing the Ukrainians to show the lack of ANY enthusiasm to continue this fabricated war by the Russian people.
It has put Putin in the first truly precarious position in his country and I feel it is only inevitable for him to try to find a way to end it before he has a true revolution on his hands
I do not see the far left or far right as spokespersons for either major political party or for the American public as a whole. I agree with your description of the war to date and the impact it has had on both Zelensky and Putin. I support the 'West's' continued support of the free country of Ukraine. One end result appears to be solidifying the opposition to western civilization into a specific group of countries (Russia, China, North Korea, Iran) with some support from Pakistan and Venezuela.
GOP and Progressives Going Munich on Ukraine?
Alternative reporting for propagandized russophobes and warmongers for whom it's always Munich '38. https://thesaker.is/the-new-cuban-missile-crisis-that-isnt/
