To me, the fault and genesis of Trump's ascension was and still is the national media. In 2016, it supported (pushed) the Trump candidacy over several better (but less well known) candidates - including Bush, Rubio, Kasich, and others. Following his election, the media immediately turned negative and enjoyed their place as the lead critic - of BOTH good and bad programs. Trump is no longer a leader of the Republican party but the media will not let him go - as they continue to push him as the face of the party - as a way to support their leftist bias.

Well written, basically lines up with what I have felt and believed for several years now. Thank you your article.

One minor correction, Hal. John McClain was the hero of the "Die Hard" movies. Trump probably would have appreciated him more than John McCain, a real hero.

The entire Trumpian nightmare begs the question. Why did so many Jews support this vulgar buffoon?,even voted for him a second time.

Its a quandary that demands some deep introspection and analysis.

Netenyahu admitted distaste for much of what Trump says but said he put Israel's survival over principle. I'm not saying he's right or wrong, but that is apparently what he thinks.
