Hal uses Liz Cheney's book well; his analysis is correct. It is right to stress the number of election deniers already in the government. That means the stakes for the 2024 election are extremely high. Let us not be lured into the fantasy of a third-party that cannot win and whose votes will only strengthen Trump. All anti-Trump votes should go to Biden, like him or not. If Trump wins we are doomed to live under one-man-rule.
I detest those who - given ample evidence to the contrary - continued to contest the results of the 2020 presidential election. For me, the resistance is a simple process - I will not vote for someone who disputes reality.
However, I am concerned with the 'march to the left' I see and read about - especially with those in our youngest generations. I fear that they may barely know who Lincoln was, let alone the founding documents of our republic or the gradual changes that have been made to make our nation better. I hope that some of the pushback against those who hate America and its history will succeed - and that we will elect a genuine representative of our population in 2024 and not an extremist from the right OR left.
